Web Analytics

It is the measurement, collection, analysis, and reporting of web data for understanding and optimising the web usage and study the behavior of a web usage.

 

Bounce Rate
This is the percentage of visitors that exit the site only after viewing one page.

Page views

It is the visit per page by an internet user on a website. This count is recorded when the full page of your website is viewed or refreshed

Returning visitor

The word is pretty self-explanatory, a returning visitor is the one viewing the same website multiple times. This can be identified through cookies or authentication.

Cookie

It is a text file placed on a visitor’s computer whilst browsing a website. As mentioned above, they are used to track returning visitors.

Unique visitor

Unique visitor a distinct individual who request pages from a particular website, no matter how many times they visit.

Load time

The average amount of time (in seconds) it takes to load a page right from clicking on the link to completion of the load in your browser.

Search Engine Optimization

The process of increasing the number of visitors to a website by making sure that the site appears highest on the list of results provided by the search engines.

Redirect

This refers to making a web page available under more than one URL address.
