It is the measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of web data for understanding and optimising the web usage and study the behavior of a web usage.


Alexa Rank:


This rank defines how popular your website is compared to the other ones.This is calculated by an average of daily visitors and pages viewed over a span of three months. If your website has the highest combination of visitors and page views, then you have the number one alexa rank which is updated daily.


Bounce Rate

This is the percentage of visitors that exit the site only after viewing one page.


Page views


It is the visit per page by an internet user on a website. This count is recorded when the full page of your website is viewed or refreshed


Returning visitor


The word is pretty self explanatory, a returning visitor is the one viewing the same website multiple times. This can be identified through cookies or authentication.




It is a text file placed on a visitor’s computer whilst browsing a website. As mentioned above, they are used to track returning visitors.

Unique visitor


Unique visitor a distinct individual who request pages from a particular website, no matter how many times they visit.


Load time


The average amount of time (in seconds) it takes to load a page right from clicking on the link to completion of the load in your browser.


Search Engine Optimization


The process of increasing the number of visitors to a website by making sure that the site appears highest on the list of results provided by the search engines.
